We track progress through baseline evaluations when an athlete starts, measuring speed, change of direction, jump height and strength. Athletes are re-tested each trimester so families can see measurable improvements and athletes stay motivated.
FAQ Category: Coaching
Do you work with injured or returning-from-injury athletes?
Yes. We partner with Made 2 Move Physical Therapy, who work in our facility daily. From early rehab to return-to-play, ESP and M2M collaborate to help athletes recover safely and come back stronger. Injured athletes continue training through our Injury Reserve program with modified, ability-specific programming.
What is your coaching philosophy?
It’s everything. Effective coaching is at the heart of every athlete’s success. And it isn’t just at the facility or about teaching technique – it’s about being a mentor in all aspects of life. We are invested – time, energy and care – in our athletes and we intend to be both a resource and an outlet. We will be that person.
How often should my Athlete take class or train?
Training frequency depends on your athlete’s schedule. During the season, once per week is effective for maintaining, and often improving, performance. In the off-season, training 3–4 times per week allows for faster progress and better preparation for the next season.
