Yes. Our ESP app is your go-to for booking classes and staying updated on all important events.
What should athletes wear or bring?
Athletes should wear clothing they can comfortably work out in. They can bring a water bottle (we have two water fountains), and we have water and food by JustFit Kitchen for purchase. A locker room is available for storing personal items.
What happens if my athlete misses a session?
If an athlete misses a class or cancels within 4 hours, we have a $15 late cancellation fee. If they miss a training session, it is up to them to reach out to their personal trainer to reschedule.
How do you communicate progress to parents?
We track progress through baseline evaluations when an athlete starts, measuring speed, change of direction, jump height and strength. Athletes are re-tested each trimester so families can see measurable improvements and athletes stay motivated.
Do you work with injured or returning-from-injury athletes?
Yes. We partner with Made 2 Move Physical Therapy, who work in our facility daily. From early rehab to return-to-play, ESP and M2M collaborate to help athletes recover safely and come back stronger. Injured athletes continue training through our Injury Reserve program with modified, ability-specific programming.
How often should my Athlete take class or train?
Training frequency depends on your athlete’s schedule. During the season, once per week is effective for maintaining, and often improving, performance. In the off-season, training 3–4 times per week allows for faster progress and better preparation for the next season.
What is your coaching philosophy?
It’s everything. Effective coaching is at the heart of every athlete’s success. And it isn’t just at the facility or about teaching technique – it’s about being a mentor in all aspects of life. We are invested – time, energy and care – in our athletes and we intend to be both a resource and an outlet. We will be that person.
What does the facility offer?
Our facility is just over 10,000 square feet, with 7,000 square feet dedicated to training space. We feature a 25-yard turf lane designed for movement training, sprinting, and plyometric work.
On the strength side, the gym is equipped with 8 full squat racks, along with a full range of dumbbells, kettlebells, and medicine balls to support comprehensive strength development. We also offer a variety of cardio equipment and specialty training tools, including Keiser machines.
Beyond training, athletes have access to a dedicated recovery area and private space to meet with physical therapists, sports nutritionists, and a mental performance coach, supporting a well-rounded, high-performance environment.
Can I drop in and use the facility?
Yes. If you are a collegiate or professional athlete living in or visiting Charleston, we offer single-day drop-in passes for open gym / facility use. We also offer drop-in classes, pending availability and age group.
Can I rent out ESP?

My 12-yr old is not involved in organized sports. Is ESP for them?
Yes! We view every child as an athlete, whether they are involved or interested in organized sports. The most important thing to us is that they are here for a purpose: to get better!
I’m a collegiate athlete with my own training program. Can I use ESP
Yes. We currently have an Open Gym membership ($150/mo.) for current college athletes that allows unlimited ESP Open Gym access during our operating hours.

What’s the difference between Foundations and Development?
Foundations and Development are our two youth training programs, organized by age group. While both focus on the same core athletic traits, the approach and emphasis evolve with the athlete.
Foundations focuses on teaching the fundamentals of movement – coordination, balance, body control, and acceleration.
Development builds on those fundamentals with a greater emphasis on strength, speed, and power.
Workouts in both programs are tailored to the age and ability of each athlete, ensuring everyone is appropriately challenged and continues to improve in a safe, structured environment.
What age groups do you work with?
We train athletes ages 8–18, as well as collegiate and professional athletes. Programs are tailored to the athlete’s age, experience, and developmental stage to ensure safe, effective, and purposeful training.

Can my athlete start with a trial?
Yes. We offer a one-week trial for classes so athletes can experience our coaching and space before committing. Please reach out to us for intro personal training options.
What are your membership options?
